The choice is very limited in Ketogenic Indian Vegetarian diet. It is mainly of Almonds, steamed peanuts and dairy products ghee, cheese, paneer, curd and milk. Fatty acids such as Olive Oil, coconut oil and Sesame Oil can be had in good amount. Green non-starchy vegetables and moderate amount of dal or chickpeas are fine. Upto 15g of red rice is acceptable. So are jowar, bajra and other millets in moderate quantity (15g). Occasional cheating with one chapati/roti/dosa or 2 idly/poori or 1 cup of whole wheat upma. Once a week cheating of a fruit in moderate quantity (50g).
